During a ceremony held at Mitiga Airport,in Tripoli, Afriqiyah Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-200. The aircraft is the first of six A330s ordered by Afriqiyah in 2006.

The A330s will serve the long haul operations on routes to Southern Africa, Asia and Europe and will have a two class configuration with 230 seats.
