As part of its corporate strategy to improve the transportation links between Africa and Europe, Afriqiyah Airways will add two new European destinations to its network.
Effective July 15, Afriqiyah will operate four weekly flights from Lyon to Tripoli. Flights depart from Lyon at 14:45 and the new service is scheduled to offer convenient connections to the African network so that passengers arrive at their destination that same evening. Flights operate from Lyon on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The return flights are scheduled to arrive in Lyon at 11:45 in the morning.
Travelers now can fly in comfort on board of one of Afriqiyah's modern Airbus A319/A320 and A330 aircraft from Lyon to Abidjan, Accra, Bangui, Bamako, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala, Kinshasa, Johannesburg, Khartoum, Lome, Lagos, Niamey and Ouagadougou. Travelers in Business Class can enjoy the superior comfort of extra wide 4-abreast seating on its narrow body aircraft and fully reclining seats on the long haul aircraft that rivals the first class service on premium carriers.
Lyon is one of France's major airports and an excellent gateway to the Rhone-Alpes region and Frenchspeaking Switzerland. The Lyon Satolas Airport has high-speed rail service directly from the airport to Paris, Annecy (Geneva) and Turin.
Service from Milan Malpensa begins on July 18 and the flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. The departure time from Milan is 14:00 and the flights also offer excellent connections to Afriqiyah's extensive African network.
With the addition of Milan to its network Northern Italy now has an excellent opportunity for more convenient travel to Tripoli and beyond
Afriqiyah prides itself in offering year-round affordable fares to the traveling public and is launching introductory round trip fares from Lyon and Milan starting as low as xxx EUR round trip inclusive of taxes and surcharges
