As part of its corporate strategy to improve the transportation links between Africa and Europe, through Tripoli International Hub, Afriqiyah Airways has added Milan Malpensa as a new European destination to its network. This new operation is coupled by the introduction of the new service to Lyon that has just started on 15th July.
As from 18th of July, Afriqiyah Airways operates three weekly services on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday from Milan Malpensa to Tripoli. These flights are scheduled to offer comfortable connections from Tripoli to other African destinations like Accra, Bangui, Cotonou, Dakar, Kinshasa, Johannesburg, Lagos and Niamey.
These three weekly services from Malpensa add up to the five ones that Afriqiyah Airways has been operating from Rome Fiumicino to Tripoli and 15 other destinations in Africa. These services from Milan Malpensa are operated by brand new Airbus A319 with a configuration of 16 businesses and 96 economy.
Afriqiyah Airways was an inspiration that has come to materialize the dream of linking the African countries, hence the name Afriqiyah which stands for African. Afriqiyah now flies to 28 destinations In Africa, Europe and Middle East.
