Free baggage allowance:

Business class passengers are allowed to carry three 3 pieces of baggage, with a maximum of 24kg each. The sum of the three dimensions of each piece must not exceed 158cm.

Economy class passengers are allowed to carry two 2 pieces of baggage with a maximum of 24kg each the sum of the two dimensions of each piece must not exceed 158cm.

Infants under two years of age without a seat traveling in the company of an adult passenger in any class entitled carry one 1 piece with maximum of 10kg with sum of the one dimensions not to exceed 115cm.

Excess baggage:

1. If baggage weight is exceeds baggage allowance 24kg but not above the maximum allowed weight and size (32kgs, 185cm) a charge of 12.00 EUR per extra kilo (or the equivalent in local currency) applies .
2. If baggage size is exceeds baggage allowance 158cm but not above the allowed weight 24kgs, a charge of 100.00 EUR (or the equivalent in local currency ) applies, it can only be accepted when sufficient is available.
3. For each extra piece of baggage not exceeding the maximum allowed weight and size 32kgs, 158cm a charge of 200.00 EUR (or the equivalent in local currency) applies.
4. All baggage exceeding 32kgs shall not be carried as accompanied baggage customer may be obliged to remove articles from their baggage in order to comply with these regulations.
5. Connecting flights operated by airlines other than 8U are subject to the carriage regulations of the corresponding airline.

 During the peak and /or limited aircraft capacity, excess baggage must not be accepted.

 Carry-on baggage:

Business Class passengers are allowed to bring on-board two 2 pieces of maximum 10kg per piece (where airport security permits) the sum of the two dimensions of each piece must nor exceed 115cm

Economy Class Passengers are allowed to bring on-board one 1 piece of maximum 10kg the sum of the one dimension must not exceed 115cm.

If the hand-carry baggage is overweight or oversized of the above allowances, it must be checked and carried in the cargo hold.

Connecting flights operated by airlines other than 8U are subject to the carriage regulations of the corresponding airline.

Liability:

Afriqiyah does not accept responsibility for loss of, damage to, or delay in delivery of any baggage with inadequate packing, nor for damage to or damage caused by fragile article, liquids, or perishable, nor for the loss of damage to, or delay in delivery of medicines medical support devices, money, jewelry, silverware, negotiable papers, business equipment, securities, business/personal documents, books/manuscripts, optics, keys, publications, blueprints, painting/work of arts, sound reproduction, equipment, business samples, artistic items, irreplaceable items, photographs, natural fur products, antiques, heirlooms, collectible, artifacts, precious metals/stones, photographs/audio/video equipment and related items, computer hardware/software and electronic components/equipment.

For reason of safety and security, handlers are requested to ask all passengers to remove any item from their baggage may endanger or affect the safety and health, such as dangerous goods, perishables or the likes, and to advise them that any failure to observe safety or security instructions .Any accepted baggage contains such items will be subject to rejection and confiscation by airport authorities, therefore the handler will be charge all subsequent payment of penalty and compensation generated.

Bags presented damaged at check-in bags checked in late, oversized baggage, security removed items, fragile items, improper packed items, non-standard pieces of luggage such as baby strollers, baby car seat, sporting equipment such as windsurfers, bicycles, golf clubs, skis, musical instruments, can only be accepted with a limited release tag LRT placed on, handler failed to comply with this procedure will be charged all subsequent payment of penalty and compensation generated.
